Dynamics is the word that describes who loud or how soft something is in music. For Loud, we say "Forte" (pronounced Four-Tay) and for soft we say "Piano" (just like the instrument). Forte in music is wriiten as an "f" and piano with a "p" so that we know when to play or sing loud or soft. There are also levels in between Forte and Piano called mezzo piano and mezzo forte. In order from Soft to Loud, it goes Piano mezzo piano mezzo forte forte |
